you don´t trust the warmth of spring because every part of you remembers how this winter has been too goddamn long and when fall attacks his oldest enemy you will place your bets because you know who´ll win big deal - everybody does if you go on like this you´ll miss the in-between and that´s everything I ever found what makes life worth living yeah, every summer ends I know this all too well but each time it´s worth the try each time it´s worth the fight and I don´t even have a reason why I´m not here to judge you no, my friend we are eye to eye I know where you´re coming from I´ve been there all along but if we fall anyway we might as well do it smiling and with our heads held high I don´t have that much to offer no way out, no plan B only my company

So let's celebrate our good days Cause the sun sets quieter each night and crawl to our couches were we left our memories of all the late nights when we stood up for our rights when we ran from the cops and hid in the back of your mothers car on and on we're growing further each day on and on we're getting old enough to say let's not lose touch let's rejoice and stay young forever like we promised ourselves so long ago so let's struggle through the darkness of growing up and getting real and laugh at the pictures of us at 17 when we were shut out from the other kids in school when we dyed our hair blue and drank away the night So let's celebrate our good days Cause the sun sets quieter each night and crawl to our couches were we keep our memories

So sing your protest song to a scene that's lost it's cause there's a few of us with fist raised and waiting So raise your tired voice there's a few left in the crowd with our fists raised singing: We are the loud we are the proud we are the fucking loyalty we are the ones singing your songs We'll keep believing if you keep singing

we romance the late nights sending signals again crossing over state lines where does this road begin and we're letting down our gaurds letting in some warm warm summer light and we're drinking down the past like we're living the high life we talk around in circles lips wishing again glossing over past scars this chapter had a end and i never saw the stars since i first laid eyes on you and dont believe in fate but i do believe in you because you're real
